In Matthew 28:16–20, the resurrected Jesus entrusts His disciples with a mission: to go forth, make disciples of all nations, and proclaim the Gospel. This Great Commission remains a cornerstone of Christian life—a call not only to believe, but to live, witness, and share the transformative love of Christ with the world.
Today, in a culture where faith can often be reduced to identity rather than encounter, many long for something deeper—an authentic experience of truth, beauty, and meaning. The Great Commission Theatre exists to meet that longing. We engage the culture through compelling storytelling that reflects a Christian worldview, creating space for reflection, connection, and encounter without being preachy.
Rooted in the theological virtues of faith, hope, and love, our work seeks to illuminate the human experience through stories that are relevant, honest, and transformative. We strive to meet people where they are—inviting audiences into a deeper understanding of themselves, one another, and the mystery of Christ.
Our purpose is to serve as instruments of God’s Truth through theatre—crafting experiences that inspire the imagination, stir the heart, and open the door to grace, redemption, and above all, love.
Our Beliefs
EVANGELIZATION
We believe in producing high-quality stage productions that
inspire hope and encouragement through the Christian world-view.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
COMMUNITY
We believe in fellowship that
helps build God’s Kingdom.
That there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
DISCIPLESHIP
We believe in encountering and accompanying
others that seek to grow in their relationship with Christ.
For to this, you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
STEWARDSHIP
We believe in giving our time, talent, and treasure to The Lord, our neighbors, and his divine creation.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
