Our Story

Welcome to our story! I'm Veronica Montalvo, Founder and Executive Director, and I'm honored to share our journey with you. Our story is one of faith, reflection, and the pursuit of purpose. Like many of you, I've experienced moments of uncertainty and longing for deeper meaning in life. Despite success in my career and family life, I felt a void that led me on a quest to rediscover my faith. 

 

In 2013, I attended a transformative women's retreat that reignited my passion for storytelling and theater. It was a turning point that brought me back to my Christian faith and inspired me to explore how I could use my talents to glorify God. Through prayer and introspection, I felt a calling to create something meaningful—a Christian theater company that could touch hearts and souls. Thus, The Great Commission Theatre was born in 2020.

 

Our journey has been one of trust, courage, and reliance on God's guidance. Despite doubts and fears, we took a leap of faith and began producing plays that explore themes of faith, hope, and love.  Inspired by the devotion of saints like Mother Teresa, we strive to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. We believe that through our productions, we can bring people closer to God's love and grace.
