SAINTS
for Today
A theatrical pilgrimage through stories that ask where grace, mercy, and holiness meet the human experience.
About the Event
Saints for Today is a theatrical initiative of The Great Commission Theatre that explores holiness through the human experience.
The inaugural production, presented on August 15, 2026, featured seven original works selected from nearly 100 submissions and presented as staged readings. With scripts in hand and minimal production elements, actors and directors brought the words to life through performance, allowing the stories and characters to remain at the center of the experience.
The selected works were not explicitly stories about saints. Instead, they explored ordinary people, relationships, struggles, choices, and moments of grace that invited audiences to recognize what holiness can look like in everyday life.
At the heart of the experience is one guiding question:
How do the lives of the saints help us live our holiness today?
Through compelling human stories, Saints for Today created space for audiences to reflect on faith, dignity, mercy, courage, hope, and our own call to holiness.
