About
The Event
A Theatrical Pilgrimage
After receiving nearly 100 original scripts from playwrights across the national and international stage, The Great Commission Theatre selected six short plays exploring mercy, courage, struggle, forgiveness, and hope.
Sometimes humorous. Sometimes challenging. Always human.
Come encounter grace in unexpected places.
What Is a Staged Reading?
Storytelling at its most essential.
Actors bring scripts to life through vocal performance—inviting you to listen, imagine, and encounter each story as it unfolds. The words lead. The actors illuminate. You complete the picture.

Why Saints for Today?
Holiness is not distant. It is lived.
Saints for Today began with one question:
How do the lives of the saints help us live our holiness today?
Through stories of mercy, courage, forgiveness, struggle, and hope, we invite audiences to encounter grace in the ordinary—and consider where we may be called to live differently today.
Inspired by St. Genesius
Presented during the month of the Feast of St. Genesius, patron saint of actors, playwrights, and artists, Saints for Today celebrates the call of artists to reveal truth, beauty, and the presence of God through storytelling.
